DESCRIPTION

A delightfully aggressive hand and body soap - this bar first hits you with a punch of peppermint essential oils and then the scrubbing action of coffee grounds. Great for waking up, scrubbing arm pits, exfoliating all over your body. Also wonderful for the kitchen or garden sink, it removes grease and dirt - plus coffee and mint have a deodorizing effect for hands that have been chopping garlic.

This is one of the first soaps we ever made, and it’s never changing.

The high percentage of olive oil in our soaps means bars should be kept out of standing water. Get a soap dish that drains completely so your soap can dry.

INGREDIENTS

A cold-process bar made with olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter, coffee and essential oils.

SIZE

Officially 6 oz.

All of our bar soaps are poured, cut and wrapped on the farm. When we cut the blocks, bars may be slightly irregular - but all weigh in from 6-6.7 ounces.

"The Swedes have a word called lagom, not too much, not too little and it describes all Saipua soaps perfectly."

Why olive oil

Our soaps and body oils start with excellent quality food grade olive oil - and not just a little; each bar is made up of 40% olive oil or more. That's why our soap is so deeply moisturizing and nourishing for skin.

Natural fragrance

We scent our soaps and body oils with essential oils - made by taking the leaves or roots of a plant and steaming them to distill the essence that carries scent. You'll smell a lot of geraniums, vetiver, citrus, lavender and sages because those plants make generous amounts of oil and can be sucessfully distilled. We source the best version of each and blend for balance and depth.

Business as world-building

For 20 years we've been making soap in the family and selling it wholesale and on the internet. When we moved the soap factory to the farm in 2021, the business became a tool for funding the intergenerational communal experiment that is Worlds End School.

Worlds End farmers and community members grow wedding flowers and moonlight as soap-wrappers, while our sales allow the farm to exist outside the market economy. The staff’s labor can return to visitors and residents; we never have to put a dollar value on a lamb or a tomato.
